Bhagwan Mahavir, also known as Lord Mahavira, was a 6th-century BCE Indian sage and the principal figure in Jainism. He is considered the 24th and last Tirthankara (spiritual teacher) in Jainism. Mahavir’s teachings focused on nonviolence (ahimsa), truthfulness, detachment, and the path of spiritual purification to attain liberation (moksha) from the cycle of birth and death.
